Transfer and modem speeds have increased significantly since I started
this page, but in case you hadn't noticed, you don't see animated .GIF
files anywhere else on my Web pages. Why? Well, .GIF is hardly a
"perfected" form of animation. Particularly on earlier versions of
Netscape, the Web client kept going back to the site and reloading the
image. If your browser and/or dialup hasn't exploded by now, you're
among the lucky ones..
A few of these images are merely backgrounds I liked. Whatever the
case, I have no recollection of where I got these, so the copyright
risk is yours entirely if you choose to download.
